Rabbit Organizations in Indonesia

1. Himakindo

Is a branch of World Rabbit Science Associations in Indonesia (IB-WRSA), where most of its members is an expert on rabbits. Himakindo has successfully developed a new rabbit breed. This rabbit has a soft rex rabbit fur and shiny like satin, named Reza who stands for Rex-Satin. Currently Himakindo led by Dr. Yono C. Raharjo, who is still on active duty in Balitnak ( the Great Hall of the Animal Husbandry Research ), Bogor-Indonesia.

2. Aspek Batu

Is a branch of Himakindo to Batu, East Java. Aspek inauguration committee held on 7 May 2010 at the Royal Orchids Garden (Batu), where the event was attended by the chairman of Himakindo. Aspek members are mostly rabbit wholesalers and hobbyists in Batu.

3. Himakindo Bogor Raya

Is a branch of Himakindo to Bogor, West Java. Inaugurated in May 2010, where its members is an expert on rabbits and hobbyist. 

4. IRA (Indonesian Rabbit Association)

Is an organization that specializes developing rabbit for the purpose of the contest. To realize these objectives, IRA has several times imported rabbits from America. The rabbits were imported from America is the rabbits with a certificate of ARBA Champion. Inaugurated on 7 January 2010. Most members of the IRA is the upscale rabbit hobbyist in Indonesia.  

5. APKIN (Indonesian Rabbit Breeders Association)

Declared on 8 May 2010 in Gedung Indonesia Menggugat - Bandung, West Java (where Ir. Soekarno (Indonesia's first Presiden) had once been tried by the Dutch Government). Most APKIN members are rabbit breeders in West Java and some other regions in Indonesia.
